xMobil is an autonomous art-science laboratory powered by solar energy, housed within a standard car trailer. It was developed by a diverse group of hackers, students, creators, engineers, artists, and scientists. As an official project of Go!2025 European Capital of Culture Nova Gorica – Gorizia, xMobil has been featured at various festivals, public spaces, and ecological hotspots in the Goriška region and across Europe since the summer of 2022.

Equipped with a robust 8KWh solar electric system, a specialized water filtration system in development, and a modular interior design, xMobil is adapted for collaborative projects in remote locations or public spaces. While it can serve as a mere presentation platform/device, the modular car trailer provides durable yet affordable equipment for AV/ICT/DIY production and experimentation. It is designed to support research projects at the intersections of art, science, and technology, including eco+natural sciences (especially citizen science), field sociology, visual anthropology, and more.
